Christmas Papercut Wreath Workshop!

Isobel Barber

Ever since the success and pleasure of the Wilderness Festival Papercut Headdress workshop I ran this summer, I’ve been positively itching to organise another one! With the build up to the festive season upon us, I decided a Christmasy themed workshop would be just the ticket!

Come along and join me for a fabulously festive morning on Tuesday 1st December at the lovely Deans Court cafe ‘The Squash Court’. You will receive a pack of high quality materials to enable you to construct your very own beautiful hand-crafted paper Christmas wreath. Alongside all the materials, I’ll be providing the assistance required to enable you to snip up little decorative accents for your work of art… robins, berry branches, oranges or whatever takes your festive fancy! As you work, your imagination will be fed by delicious homemade mince pies, loose leaf teas and Italian coffee. Tickets are available here!

Really hope to see you there!

Christmas wreath

happy christmas card

This morning I finished off this little festive wreath, ready to get some Christmas cards printed. Ten days until Christmas and I am yet to write a single card- highly unorganised! Bella, on the other hand, is far more organised and has already finished wrapping her presents!

Puppy Love

Seriously unimpressed

Following on from the ‘animals wearing clothes’ theme of my last post!.. I would like to introduce my mothers midlife crisis puppy, Bella. Here she is trying on her Christmas outfit! I think we need to work on that unimpressed face. These amusing Christmas pooch pictures popped up on Pinterest too, hope they make you smile as much as they did me!

At great risk of looking like a crazy dog lady, whilst we’re here, I’ve been doodling some pooch themed ideas for illustrations. I’ve started with a sweet little French Bulldog, wearing a Dior 2012 print harness no less! I’d love to hear your favourite breed to add to the doodle list!Frenchie

Festive Friday :)

image

The weekend is finally here! This week I’ve been a busy bee creating some festive pieces to be turned into Christmas wrap. I haven’t actually bought any Christmas presents yet, but I HAVE planned down to the tiniest of details how I will be wrapping said presents once purchased! Priorities. This evening will be spent turning this little fella I made into a repeat print to be made into Christmasy wrapping paper. I find Pinterest is a great source for ideas. I’ve shared some of my inspirations below, but you can find lots more on my Pinterest boards.
